As we can see from the diagram, thoughts play a key role in how we feel.
We are not suggesting that you ‘move on’ or don’t feel sad. Feelings of grief come and go like waves in the ocean that you can sail across, hence the name of the program!
Sometimes it’s easier to sail the waves of grief and loss, but we can also get stuck in feelings of grief. Re-evaluating our thoughts can help how we feel at those times.
Thoughts, activities, and feelings are interconnected. Changing one area improves other areas.
