INCREASING Activities that could be ENJOYABLE

Trying an activity that could be enjoyable is also a way to:

  • Test out some of our thoughts that might be holding us back or making it tough to start trying activities.

  • Help us look at evidence whether our thoughts are accurate or helpful.

Remember, grief is normal and being sad is ok. But maybe if you are feeling sad all the time doing some activities that could be enjoyable may help.

Doing activities that could be enjoyable isn’t about trying to fix feeling sad. It’s about:

  • Having a more balanced life.

  • Trying to re-engage with some things you used to enjoy before the loss.

  • Exploring new ideas.

We know from lots of studies that increasing the number of activities that we do which could be enjoyable can really help to boost mood and wellbeing.
